Thomas Edison said "To invent you need a good imagination and a pile of junk." That makes me think there should be a lot more inventing going on in my kids rooms. I blog this picture to remind me to stick to my guns on the playdoh ban. Man, you should see the floor!
I love this post. Playdough can be my best friend and my worst enemy. I pull it out on the days when my little ones won't stop disturbing school time. It is my friend at that time, but boy do I pay for it at clean up time:) Hence my love/hate relationship with the stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a blast!!! MORE PLAYDOUGH, MORE PLAYDOUGH, MORE PLAYDOUGH!!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!
ReplyDeleteSO AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Play Dough is a NO GO here! While it is a bit more expensive....Crayola Model Magic is a great substitute and if kept in an air tight can be reused. Or, if let out dries nicely. The white is the best bargain...(tub at Walmart)and if you get washable markers you can color it and blend in the color to make the white different colors.
ReplyDeleteI HATE playdoh and paint. I always feel like a mean mom who is not encouraging imagination, but I just can't take the mess. I always get playdoh balls all over the rug and I just can't take paint!! Oh, add sand boxes, too!!
